Not surprising, I suppose, that I learned via email of her death Monday June 29. A heart attack should only happen to overweight smokers or 92 year olds who have no one to look after them. It's not fair.
And I still catch myself going to email her with ideas or articles I've seen that maybe could translate into a piece for our magazine. Her emails seem so alive to me.
Now the rest of us have the most difficult job of putting out an issue without her at the helm.

I had purchased many ads from her over the past couple of years, and though I never actually met her, I do agree with you that her emails were so vibrant! She seemed like such a sweet lady and will truly be missed.
Hey Matthew,
I wasn't entirely sure posting a blog saying goodbye wasn't crass. But I felt I needed to express something
as we (the magazine we) were going through it.
We're such a small team and yet this is the second time in three years we've experienced a loss in it.
Hope that exempts us from now on.
Best wishes.
Sylvia
